Revitalization Business District Amstel III

Amstel III is an anonymous business park, suffering from vacancy and fragmented ownership. ‘Roadmap’ proposes a phased development, towards a more diverse and lively area.

Public roads will be restructured and shared parking will be added. Private parking will be partly exchanged for gardens or public space, adding character to their plots and buildings.

A new ringroad for slow traffic is introduced. It connects the area with the metro station, and it connects the different buildings and its residents. This central zone will introduce new functions and lively street atmosphere. It will make Amstel III more attractive for different kind of residents, which will help Amstel III to develop slowly into a diverse multifunctional urban neighborhood.
